Learn About Tattoing Blog Launched!
I'm glad you have landed on my blog about learning to tattoo. If you have ever considered becoming a tattoo artist but were afraid you didn't have what it takes, then maybe you just didn't understand the art of tattooing. One big misconception about tattooing is that you have to be able to draw and draw well. This couldn't be further from the truth. If you can trace lines on paper then you can stick a tattoo!
Now, that being said, if you can draw then you have an extra advantage over other amateur tattoo artist who haven't quite improved their drawing and art skills. There are many good books on learning how to draw and learning how to tattoo but it will take patience and practice.
Before you can begin your tattooing career you will first need to get the necessary tattoo supplies. You will need at least one tattoo gun, a power supply, tubes, grips, tips, needles, stencil paper, rubbing alcohol, and of course tattoo inks! When it comes to supplies, quality does indeed matter. As with anything else in life, there are cheap tattoo equipment and more expensive tattoo gear.
One are you will not want to cut back on is on the tattoo ink. The ink makes a huge difference and some of the cheaper inks are simply not worth your time or money. If you want a better quality tattoo, start with better quality tattoo equipment. Check back often for more information for tattooing as I will be updating this blog often with bits and pieces of information relating to tattooing.
